MV & EE - Live Heroine Boots (2009 to 2010)

Here's a huge cheers to MV & EE. Who have released a decent catalog of live recordings on their Heroine Celestial Agriculture label. Starting off, these bootlegs were adorned with spaceship-take-off style visuals that were printed onto different colored papers that switched from release to release. Starting in 2009, the cover's to these cdr's changed over to high contrast black & white images that one could only assume are associated with the live event captured onto the disc included. This is when I myself tried to start keeping up with these - emailing MV every now and then, grabbing up each one he would type out on a list in the reply email. Digging into those singular unique elements of each live show was what I got into the most.

The lineup on these shows varies from the Golden Road family members, to the trio excursions with Willie Lane, and to just MV & EE, those great duo shows - which tend to be my favorite of the game. I know 'Black Ark/White Egg' (the first in this Black & White style series) was put up on Nitty Gritty, and 'Ready For Another House' too elsewhere on the blogs - but for completionists sake, and the idea of whole-someness, I'll include these two in the post.

Where I see a differentiating point, in this live Heroine series, is when Mick Flower started to be included in the jams - taking the sound to a great 'nother level. And along with the fact that MV's still got these Flower'd-lineup jams up for sale, I'm going to save them for someone else/another time way on down the road; but will include one release (or maybe two) of these great sounds.

Anyway, here we go, the only release I couldn't get high res scans of is Ready For Another House - as I sold it off already. But alls well. I'll save my inputs and opinions on these shows for you to conjour up yourselfs; but there's a damn good gem to dig on in every live version of their tunes.

All .zips of these mp3's are at 320. Please let me know if any one of these links or .zip files don't work - I'll fix or re-up for sure.

Thanks for the music MV & EE, we dig it.

  2. and I left out Space! which is also somewhere out there in the blogs.

Also; my copy of Red Head Transistor has this high-pitched tone blasting out during a portion of songs the CDr, not sure if this was a individual case or something on the recording.
